Quik Splice Tape Splicer Instructions

Bottom of page

I've scanned both pictures and text as one item but just in case the text is not legible, I have also keyed in the text below the image.

1. Trim end of each film strip as close to the last sprocket hole as possible. Either side of the cutting blade may be used.

2. Place the first strip of film over the prongs. The last sprocket hole should be on the prong marked with the arrow.

3. Place second strip of film on prongs. The last sprocket hole should also be on prong marked with arrow. One strip of film now overlaps the other at this point only. Emulsion (dull side) of both film strips must face in the same direction.

4. Place a Quik Splice patch over the film with the sprocket holes in the red flap on the two lower prongs.

5. Hold the red flap of the Quik Splice patch firmly with your finger. Peel off the free half of the paper backing slowly. Rub the spliced area to assure bonding.

6. Turn the film over and replace on prongs. Peel off the remaining paper backing slowly. Remove film from prongs. Rub both sides to assure a permanent bond.
