Voigtlander Vito Cameras - Vito Automatic II
by Stephanie Marriott
The Vito Automatic II made a brief appearance in about 1963 when it cost about £44. It was fitted with a 50 mm. f/2.8 Lanthar lens in Prontormatic V shutter. The automatic metering system can be set for speeds 10-100 ASA. The selected aperture appears in the brightline finder and on the top plate. There is a red/green indicator which shows whether an exposure is possible in the prevailing light conditions at the shutter speed required. The automatic facility may be overridden. The focusing is by three-symbol focusing or focusing scale. The shutter release is on the front of the camera body. |
