Voigtlander Vito Cameras - Vito C
by Stephanie Marriott
This camera was introduced in 1960. It is similar to the Vito B, with some modifications, the most obvious of which is that the release button on the top-plate is replaced by a release mounted on the camera front. A cable release socket is on the underside of this key. In 1960, the camera was fitted with a 50 mm. f/2.8 Lanthar lens in Pronto four-speed synchronised shutter and cost about £18. In 1961, a further version appeared, with f/2.8 Color Skopar lens in Pronto-LK shutter at about £26, and in 1962 these two are joined by two further models which have the same specifications but with a deluxe finish, making four options. |
