This model was also introduced
in 1960 and was the top model Vito at the time, as it has
both a coupled coincident-image rangefinder and a coupled
shutter-priority meter.
As with other Vito cameras, the
focusing scale has zone markings for quick focusing, when
use of the rangefinder would be too slow. There is also a
depth of field scale.
Also in common with other Vito models,
the rewind knob may be used to disengage the interlock
for winding through a partly-used film.
The film speed is set on the lens
mount and an incident light attachment for the meter was
supplied with the camera (it should be noted that it
unusual for this to be supplied with a second-hand camera
- most were lost). In 1961, the camera with f/2.8 Lanthar
in Pronto-LK cost about £40 and with f/2.8 Color
Skopar it cost about £47. Finish options were
available, as with the Vito
C and other models, for a
while in the early 1960s. In about 1965, the finish
options were dropped and the camera enhanced to permit
the meter needle to be seen in the viewfinder. The
Lanthar was replaced by the Color Lanthar and the cost
for the Color Lanthar option was about £45 while the
Color Skopar option had risen to about £56. The
camera was discontinued in about 1968.
