The Vitoret D was introduced in
about 1963.
It has many of the features of other
Vitoret cameras; an accessory shoe, film counter showing
the number of unused exposures, brightline finder with
parallax correction, cable release socket and lever wind.
In addition, there is a built-in uncoupled selenium meter
with top-plate display. Focussing is by click-stops, at
c. 4.5 feet, 10 feet and 30 feet, which are linked to
symbols displayed in the viewfinder.
The early model has a 50 mm. Lanthar
or Vaskar lens in Prontor 125 shutter; whichever lens was
fitted the cost was about £22.
In 1965, the lens fitted became the
Color Lanthar and the price rose to about £26.
The camera was discontinued about
1970.
